More than "Just a Notary"

Connecticut law requires at least TWO CURRENT documents, one issued by a federal or state government and containing the individual's signature and either a photograph or physical description.

Primary:

  • Current (Unexpired) U.S. State-issued Driver's License or Non-Driver ID meeting all above listed requirements
  • Current (Unexpired) U.S. Issued Passport
  • Current (Unexpired) Foreign Passport stamped by the U.S. Citzenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
  • Current (Unexpired) Pistol Permit meeting all above listed requirements
  • Other current document issued by a federal or state government meeting all above listed requirements

Secondary:

  • Any of the above listed documents or
  • An ID issued by an institution, business entity or state government or the federal government containing at least the individual's signature

Non-Acceptable Forms:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Security Card
  • Expired Identification of any type
  • ID that does not contain at least the individual's signature
  • ID with name that does not match the name on the document requiring notarization
